Teacher Resource ( How To Read A Play )
Lesson-
Use the post "Luna By Ramon Esquivel: Educational Material" as a guide for describing the play to students. Hand out the play. Read the play aloud with students following along.
Use the post "Luna By Ramon Esquivel: Discussion Questions" as a guide after reading the play. Have a class discussion about what lessons everyone learned. This serves as a Common Core standard for Reading Comprehension.
Have your students write or draw pictures about Luna. This is a creative project, it could be a picture of their favorite scene from the play, or a letter to one of the characters. Give creative freedom for art to be made, for students to process the experience of theatre.
